Only union members have the privilege to vote on contracts, vote for local union officers and stewards and vote on other member issues. Only union members can participate in our exclusive "Member-Only Benefits" program. Once per year each SEIU Local 503, OPEU member has the opportunity to sign up for union benefits.
This year's open enrollment is underway for SEIU Local 503, OPEU Member-Only Benefits through October 19, 2007. This special set of benefits is not available until you become a member. Packets were mailed in September. If you did not receive your packet, please call the union Member Benefits Department at 1-800-452-2146 or 503-581-1505 to become a member or get a replacement packet. It's also open enrollment for Public Employee Benefits Board (PEBB) health insurance plans. State and Higher Ed members of SEIU Local 503, OPEU maintained health insurance benefits during the last round of contract negotiations. Members can enroll online for new 2008 benefits, or change your benefit elections, from October 1 through October 31. There is still time to change your current year PEBB benefits if you had a change in status such as marriage, divorce or birth of a child. There is a 60-day window from now through December 31, 2007 to submit a completed update form.
PEBB health plan participants can also update beneficiary information online at any time.
