SEIU 503 is a member-run union. Members elect a bargaining team of their peers every two years. With legal, negotiation and logistical support from union staff, your bargaining team fights to make sure your priorities are reflected in the final contract.
Key issues for 2021
Record number of Nursing Home members completed bargaining surveys over the past 6–9 months. Members identified wages as the #1 issue, including longevity bonuses for experienced CNAs and shift differentials. Other important issues are staffing, healthcare, and a way to bargain with our employers over emergent issues that affect us, like COVID and other health and safety concerns.
