We have so much to be proud of, with so many impactful AANHPI leaders in the Pacific Northwest and Oregon—past and current! Here are just a few.

A recent national study found our AANHPI youth (14-25 years) are experiencing high levels of depression as they feel pressure to excel at school, extracurriculars, and at work. Within the last year, 93% of our youth also experienced racism, and 1 out of 5 reported wishing they were a different race. More than half of the youth do not want to burden their overworked parents with these issues. To support their mental health, our youth suggest the creation of WELLNESS SPACES, “where community members can come together to ease anxiety and stress.”

Please invite a young person in your life to join us in co-creating a new AANHPI WELLNESS SPACE with self-care, meditation, art, music, performances, and our delicious culturally-specific foods!

Together, with a few special guests, we will learn about different culturally-specific ways to respond to discrimination in our workplaces, and re-design our Oregon future, in our shared pursuit of work-life harmony, and mental health and well-being— whether at work, school, or in the community.

Please RSVP by Friday, May 9th. If needed, transportation support and language interpretation is available.

We hope you can join us to celebrate our collective power and strengths! We need YOU to help shape a brighter AANHPI future in Oregon–from our youth to our elders!
