Bargaining Update

Our member-elected Homecare/PSW Bargaining Team resumed meeting with state management this week.

Our team presented to the State a package proposal reflecting some of our members top priorities, including increasing the number of paid holidays and providing incentive improvements to respite care and eliminating the cap on weekly hours. Additionally, we proposed incentives for CPR Certification.

The bargaining team brought up outsourcing of our work to private agencies, making management aware that we expect the state to stop outsourcing and instead, direct consumers to union care providers.

We expect state management will return with counters to our proposals when we meet again on April 18th.
