We strongly encourage you to mail your ballot by no later than Thursday, May 23rd so there is plenty of time for them to arrive in time to be counted by the deadline. Taking time off work is crucial to your physical, mental, and emotional health! That’s why Carewell SEIU 503 offers eligible care providers up to 48 hours of PTO benefits every year. You can earn 1 hour of PTO benefits for every 20 hours worked, up to a maximum of 4 hours of PTO benefits every month.

Oregon’s Primary Election Has Started!

Ballots for Oregon’s primary election were mailed on Wednesday, and you should receive yours soon. If you don’t have your ballot by next week, please contact your county election office for a replacement. Decisions that impact SEIU members’ wages, benefits, and working conditions are made by elected officials – from local governments to the legislature and beyond. This election matters for union members. Our union’s member-run political program is how we make sure our voice is in the room when those decisions are made. Celebrate Asian Pacific Heritage Month With Your Union!

In 2024, we wish to celebrate the contributions of Asian and Pacific Islanders in our union, the labor movement, and our society. This year, we celebrate and recognize the resilience of ourselves and our multigenerational family, and those who inspire us with their courage, determination, and hopes for a better future.

Join the SEIU 503 Asian Desi Pacific Islander Caucus as we celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month in person at our Portland office next Saturday, May 11th, from noon to 3 p.m. The theme of the event is Resilience & Strength TOGETHER, within the context of Anti-Asian bias and racism. Register for the event here.
