Don’t leave money on the table. Make sure you’re taking full advantage of PTO benefits.

We’ve put together this overview of PTO benefits, including two new COVID-19 programs, to help you understand what’s available and how to request it.

1. Regular PTO Benefits

Regular PTO benefits are available if you worked 80 or more hours in any one of the following months: January, February, March, April, or May. Click here for more information and to apply.

2. CARES PTO Benefits

CARES PTO pays up to 80 hours of PTO. It’s meant to supplement regular PTO for people who lost hours after June 1 for reasons related to COVID-19. Lost hours must meet specific criteria and you must have worked at least 40 hours in May, June or July. Click here to see if you’re eligible and to apply.

3. Hardship PTO

The Hardship PTO benefit is available to workers who lost hours during the period of March 10 to May 16 because of COVID-19. To be eligible you must meet certain hours criteria. Click here to see if you’re eligible and to apply.

When COVID-19 first struck our communities, we worked with the Board of Trustees for the Oregon Homecare Workers Benefit Trust (homecare and personal support workers like you) to establish the CARES and Hardship PTO benefit because homecare workers are on the frontlines of the pandemic. We are essential health care workers and we deserve support.
