During the final weeks of the Legislative Session, state lawmakers have the opportunity make big, bold investments in the things we care about like caregiving, essential workers, housing, health care, and more.

The June revenue forecast shows that not only has Oregon’s budget outlook returned to pre-pandemic levels, but we actually have more than $1.1 billion in additional resources for the 2019-2021 biennium, and $1.3 billion more for next biennium. This means that when combined with the $2.6 billion in stimulus funds Oregon is receiving under the American Rescue Plan, lawmakers have more than $3 billion in additional resources to help craft a state budget that meets the moment we are in.
