After months of negotiations, the Marion County Employees Association (MCEA) has reached a Tentative Agreement (TA) with management! Bargaining through a pandemic has been difficult and Marion County employees were in agreement that we needed to settle this contract quickly and effectively so that we could move on to the important work of serving our communities. In this new agreement, we have seen some great victories that will support us over the next two-years of the contract cycle and ensure that our pay and benefits remain excellent and commensurate with the costs of living in Oregon.

This new Tentative Agreement includes:

  • 2% Cost of living adjustments on July 1 in both 2020 and 2021
  • $50 Increase in the County’s healthcare contribution in both 2020 and 2021
  • 2 year contract through June 30, 2022
  • Updating Union Rights language in our contract to comply with recent Covid-19 related legislation

The only way we could have settled a fantastic contract in such a short period of time and difficult circumstances was with your support.
