We’re excited to announce that, as of Wednesday August 4, we have reached an agreement on the vaccine mandates proposed by university administration. The agreement covers all seven universities in our union. This new Agreement addresses concerns that were highlighted by our membership through the Covid survey earlier this Summer.
Here’s what we won in our new Vaccine Mandate Agreement:
- Allows workers to be granted medical and non-medical exemptions from the mandate.
- Requires Universities to pay for time spent getting a vaccine.
- Requires training on taking universal precautions for workers granted an exception.
- Creates a centralized process for self-reporting compliance with the mandate that keeps workers’ information secure and confidential.
