PSU Workers Are Fired Up for Higher Ed Bargaining
Classified workers and supporters rallied on Thursday, March 19th at Portland State University’s (PSU) Urban Plaza downtown to demand a fair contract.
PSU member leader Rob Fullmer told the crowd workers are ready to show their power in this campaign, emphasizing how absurd it is to ask the lowest paid workers to make sacrifices while the school’s president makes more than $700,000 a year. “Where’s my chop from the top sign? It’s always the lowest paid employees who are asked to take the hit.”
Workers are getting fired up as bargaining continues – check out these great photos of the action.
University workers will hold another rally during bargaining at Oregon State University in Corvallis at 12:00 noon on March 31st. RSVP and show your support!
