Chop from the top!

University of Oregon spends $10 million per year on its football coaching staff. The presidents of Oregon’s seven public universities will pull down six figure salaries. Top administrators earn 300,000, 400,000 of even 500,000 per year. Under their latest proposal, low-wage workers would see their take home pay cut by as much as $250.77 per month.

When you make close to minimum wage, that’s a disaster. These cuts will put members of our community into fragile economic positions, some will be forced to go on Medicaid to keep their families healthy, and some will leave to find a higher paying job.

These cuts hurt everyone on campus — students, faculty, and classified staff. And they harm our entire community. Show your support for workers as they begin their campaign to bargain a fair contract with the University.
