University administration to cut healthcare for low-wage workers

This year, the presidents of Oregon’s seven public universities will ask their lowest paid employees to take massive cuts to their healthcare plans. As a result, some workers will see their take home pay cut by as much as $250.77 per month.

When you make close to minimum wage, that’s a disaster. These cuts will put members of our community into fragile economic positions and many will be forced to go on Medicaid to keep their families healthy. Taking away affordable healthcare for 4,000 low-wage workers hurts our whole community.

Show your support for workers as they begin their campaign to bargain a fair contract with the University.
