My dear SEIU 503 Brothers & Sisters,

My name is Ron Strle, I have been a CNA at Prestige Hood River Care Center in Hood River for the since February 2016. I have been a CNA for 11 years. I am a union steward representing members in many grievances with a very good track record.

My goals for our union to tackle has always been wages, healthcare, and staffing ratios. In the past year we have seen big wage increases. In October we will be enrolling in the first of its kind, healthcare trust for nursing home workers in the country.

I have been on the Nursing Home Council as a chain representing for the past 4 years. I have been on the bargaining team for the last 2 contracts. Winning better wages, health care, PTO policy and health care. I am on several union committees. I am on the Training Trust Board of Directors as well as several committees. I am of the Statewide Labor Management Committee.

I as I work NOC shift, I am available to participate in meetings and conferences during mornings or afternoons. I am committed to raising standers of care for all nursing homes and assisted living communities. Ensuring that all members are properly trained and supported. Ensuring that your voice is heard. I am committed to my profession, SEIU 503 and you to make our union better.
