Carol Kelly

Region 06: Multnomah & Clackamas • Multnomah, Clackamas, Columbia, Clark & Cowlitz (WA) Counties

My name is Carol Kelly and I am running for position Director Region 6 for Multnomah and Clackamas County. I am currently Director Region 1 Multnomah County and President of AFRAM Caucus SEIU 503, Local 99. I have experience in bringing together the masses in organizations and possess high people and communication skills of all ethnicities. My skills and training have given me the momentum to excel to a larger perimeter of Homecare workers and other SEIU members at large. This position will give me more access in dealing and servicing those who may have need with situations that may appear hard to resolve. One of my desired goals is to help shape and mold an unseen gap that that will strengthen us to be the best we can be as a whole; and as a Union. I desire too, to be available for BIPOC members and other people of color to help and ensure every individual has a decent and fair right to fair wages and decent living. Bringing our Union and members even closer together may be a small challenge but I believe we can and will do it, for there is great power in unity. I am a Homecare and Personal Support Worker and I also engage in Enhanced Care. I’m involved in the Bargaining Unit, CAPE, Women’s and Homecare Workers Council; Climate Justice and Race and Inclusion committees. I have been with SEIU for 8yrs. and am born and raised in Portland Oregon. I am looking forward in making sure that as many as possible, voices are acknowledged and heard. I’m asking for your support in hopes that together we will take huge steps forward and achieve goals that we know that need to get done and for the success of us all.
