AFRAM is here to teach everyone the contributions of African Americans and our rich history in our country and our union. We are also here to continue the legacy and the importance of being able to address the issues of our union members and the African American culture. Our union is the platform for AFRAM to educate, empower, engage, and elevate our members.

Our local AFRAM Caucus in Oregon is part of the national SEIU AFRAM Caucus, which hosts conferences and engages members in making social, economic, and political change.

Here in Oregon, the AFRAM Caucus is:

  • Enhancing opportunities for education, training, mentorship, and leadership development.
  • Providing a venue for networking for SEIU members and staff.
  • Promoting social, economic, and political justice within the workplace, union, local communities, and at the national level

For more information, or to get involved, please email AFRAMCaucus@seiu503.org or connect with the Caucus on Facebook. Participation in the AFRAM Caucus is open to all.
