Yes, you read that correctly. Yesterday, our member-elected SEIU 503 Addus bargaining team settled a historic contract that will increase the starting pay from $13.80 to $17.00 by next September, a 23% increase over the next 11 months.
Despite the Addus company receiving huge increases in the hourly medicaid reimbursement rate, our bargaining team had to fight hard in order for Addus management to agree to the pay increases.
This agreement represents the culmination of months of hard work, starting with your input in bargaining surveys, your activism during the legislative process, and your voices in actions targeting Addus management, including a community petition that received nearly 40,000 signatures. And, of course, the many hours of work at the bargaining table by your member-elected bargaining team.
