Lindie Nelson

As an employee of Oregon State Hospital, I have been a member of SEIU 503 since 2014. During that time, I saw many positive changes within my workplace as a result of the strong presence of SEIU stewards and officers. Because of this, I was moved to become a steward myself and was recently elected as Member At Large for the Junction City branch of Local 392. I also have the privilege of being a part of the General Council this year for the first time. I have worked in the medical field for nearly 20 years in multiple capacities. First, as a receptionist at a rural hospital in central Oregon, then as a CNA in long-term care, as a caregiver, Mental Health Support Specialist, and now as an LPN. I believe that this experience will be valuable for an Assistant Director. If elected in this capacity, I will work hard to bring the needs and concerns of members to the forefront and call attention to areas that need improvement. I enjoy talking on-on-one with other members and hearing each person’s unique background and ideas. I also enjoy networking with other members to accomplish the goals of our union and have received endorsements from both Shawn Holliday and Ibrahim Coulibaly. Please vote for me for Assistant Director of the South Valley Region.
