My name is Shawn Holliday- I am currently the Assistant Director on the SEIU 503 Board of Directors for the South Valley Region 2 which is the Linn, Benton and Lane counties. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with our fellow board members over the past 2 years and wish to continue my work as the Institutions Coalition Director. I work at the Junction City campus of the Oregon State Hospital as a Facilities Energy Technician, and prior, worked at the U of O from 2005 to 2014. I have served as Chief Steward in my local and am currently Vice President, Bargaining Delegate, General Counsel Delegate and CAPE board member. Over the past 15 years as a state employee, I have watched our union grow and significantly improve in all areas of involvement. We have more women in leadership roles, more people of color and LGBTQ+ leaders and I want to be a part of continuing that work. We have also improved in our fiscal responsibility as well as our member representation with the addition of our new Member Assistance Center. I know that you as members of SEIU 503 feel as I do, that respect, equity and fairness is a must.
