Barbara Evans

To ALL my Brothers and Sisters of Local SEIU 503-I want you first off to know that you are in my heart and prayers everyday for what you are going through right now and I want you to know that I HAVE A PLAN. It began with the Heart of my fellow Homecare workers back in 1999 when we all came Together to walk across Hawthorne Bridge in Portland-side to side and from the front to the back of the bridge. It was a moment that I will NEVER FORGET as we Demanded to be UNION Represented and OUR VOICES to be HEARD! AND it HAPPENED!! We are still making that demand for our voices to be heard and ACKNOWLEDGED that what we ask for is FAIR AND EQUITABLE for ALL WORKERS-UNION members or Not, we ALL deserve the same respect as workers and holding the economy of our state and the nation to the standards INTENDED by our State and Federal Constitution, which is ABOVE ANY and ALL Government ADMINISTRATIONS! LET US NOT FORGET THAT! There is no mistake about the timing of this happening now as the corporate thugs push for full automation to replace workers jobs in every position, state and local. Take the time to consider the implications of how that will effect every worker-Union member or not. We need to look out for one another. My Plan will push us into ACTION and fight against the realities of the repercussions and damages affecting every household in America and beyond by the use of this devastating disease. We CAN turn this around and USE IT for our ammunition of Awareness to the Leaders of our Nation. WE ARE a Nation of U.S. WORKERS that will NOT BE DENIED OUR RIGHT TO BE HEARD. Will you give me your vote and ALLOW me the opportunity to pave the way and GET THIS MOVEMENT HAPPENING AS “YOUR” Executive Director. I DO NOT BELIEVE that WE have to ask anyone’s “PERMISSION” to MAKE THIS HAPPEN, BUT OURSELVES. Are you with me on this-I’d rather be a Hammer than a Nail and KEEP my Song about FREEDOM AND JUSTICE WITH MY FAMILY OF UNION BROTHERS AND SISTERS..NOW AND FOREVER! UNION FOR ALL WORKERS EVERYWHERE! Thanks for your time and consideration//Barbara Evans- proud union member of SEIU 503.
