We are writing to provide an update regarding the delay in Local 99’s sublocal election. We sent out notification on March 1 that our independent election vendor, Global Election Services (GES), experienced an error with Amazon Web Services which interfered with launching the election. The error resulted in the need for the vendor to rebuild the programming for the election which will require more time than we initially hoped. The vendor has now informed us that the election will be able to run on the following schedule:
Voting opens on Friday, March 15, 2024
Voting closes at 5:00pm on Friday, April 12, 2024
Once voting opens, members will receive an email from GES via helpdesk@voteges.com with their electronic ballot information. The Union will also send an email to members to notify them that voting has opened and to look for the email from GES.
While the vendor’s technical problem that caused this postponement is outside of the Union’s control, we know that this is disappointing, and we are very sorry for this unexpected delay. We appreciate your patience and understanding, as well as your dedication to building our Union by running for elected positions of leadership.
