You Made the Bargaining Conference a Success!

Despite the last-minute shift to a virtual format because snow and ice made for dangerous traveling conditions across the state, your engagement at our 2025 Joint Bargaining Conference this past weekend kept the discussion lively and impactful – now, we are ready to take that excitement to the bargaining table.

We are including a copy of the slide deck from the Saturday morning Bargaining Conference session, which you can find here.

Bargaining Conference Moved to Virtual

Because of heavy snow and continued storms across Oregon today and tomorrow, we are moving our 2025 Bargaining Conference from in-person to virtual. We will automatically transfer all participants to virtual status.

Important information about how to join the conference on Saturday is below, with a virtual attendee link.

Instructions:

Please make sure that your Zoom application is updated to the latest version of the software – this should be done prior to the meeting to ensure there are minimal interruptions throughout the conference.

Log on to the meeting using your Virtual Attendee Link at 9:45 AM Saturday to ensure your technology is working.

(Your Virtual Attendee Link can be found in your email.)

Tech Support: If you have any trouble logging on to the system please email us at this address. We will have staff monitoring that email to provide support. During the meeting you will be able to message the meeting host and we will have staff monitoring that chat function to provide virtual support.

Sector Breakouts in Late Morning:

We will transition to separate meeting spaces in the late morning to dive into further details based on each group’s specific plans.

Homecare/PSW Members: Please use the same link you used in the morning to stay in that meeting space.

State of Oregon Members: Please use this link to join the State breakout space: https://www2.seiu503.org/e/171302/d719XYEIfy28QSA69Pgyq1Xzapoa-1/31hxsm/762741351/h/MD4sC_MHqB97r_3_NJhHIvFTG0O4HCO9wupmim34mp4

As you may know, the National Weather Service is currently predicting snow and/or freezing rain in Portland and other parts of the Willamette Valley in the days ahead. If this weather event occurs, travel to our bargaining conference at the Hyatt Hotel at the Oregon Convention Center may be hazardous.

We will carefully monitor the weather forecast over the next 24 hours. If the forecast tomorrow is still predicting snow and/or freezing rain, we will move the conference from an in-person to all-virtual event on zoom.

We will reach out to you again tomorrow (Thursday, February 13, 2025) with a final decision – we ask that you keep your eye out for an email in the early afternoon.
