My supervisor is a bully. Can I file a grievance against them?
It is against the law for your supervisor to harass or discriminate against you because of race, color, marital status, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected class under State or Federal Law, or because of your sexual orientation. You should notify the University’s Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Office, or you may be able to file a grievance for discrimination. You also may pursue a discrimination claim through the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries. Other forms of harassment or bullying by a supervisor are not grievable, but there may be other solutions to the problem. You should be in touch with your steward and/or organizer in this situation
