It’s Time to Make Your Voice Heard: Register to Vote by October 13
Vote early. Encourage a coworker, friend, or family member to do the same!
Oregon’s Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Register to vote online by October 13, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Mailed registration cards must be postmarked by October 13.
When union members vote, we strengthen our collective voice and help elect leaders who will fight for working people!
Many decisions that impact SEIU 503 members are made by local governments, the State Legislature, the Governor’s office, or in Washington, D.C. These decisions affect our jobs, contracts, healthcare, and the public services our communities depend on. Our union’s member-run political program helps make sure our voice is in the room: and your vote is part of that power. Help our union elect pro-worker candidates by signing up for a political shift and talking with voters. Learn more about our union’s political program.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I register or update my registration?
You can register online through My Vote, by mail using a voter registration form, or in person at your county elections office. Already registered? Check your registration and update your address if you’ve moved.
2. Is voting by mail secure?
Yes. According to Oregon’s Secretary of State’s office: Oregon uses paper ballots, signature verification, and post-election reviews to protect election integrity. Ballot-counting machines are never connected to the internet, and ballots are separated from identifying envelopes before counting to protect voter privacy.
3. How do I track my ballot or get help with a problem?
Check your ballot’s progress through My Vote. If your ballot hasn’t arrived, you need a replacement, or there’s a problem with your ballot, contact your county elections office.
4. Does the Supreme Court decision change how I vote in Oregon?
No. Oregon voters can continue voting by mail. On September 14, the Supreme Court rejected the Trump administration’s request to put new Postal Service restrictions on mail ballots into effect while legal challenges continue. The proposed restrictions remain blocked.
Watch for your ballot after counties begin mailing them October 14, complete it, sign your return envelope, and return it early. Official ballot drop boxes close at 8 p.m. on November 3.
5. How does our union decide which candidates to endorse?
Our endorsements are member-led and reflect workers’ priorities. Through our political program, members help build power to elect leaders who support working people. Explore SEIU’s 2026 endorsements and our union’s political program. You can help by talking with voters, volunteering for a political shift, and encouraging coworkers to vote.
