The Alvord-Taylor Bargaining Team has reached a two-year contract with an openly anti-union employer. Gains in this new contract include a 17 percent average pay increase, a night and weekend shift pay differential, and increased longevity bonuses.

Increased competitive wages was the key issue that attracted the most support from SEIU 503 members at Alvord-Taylor. With this wage increase secured, Alvord-Taylor can now hire more workers, with the goal of reducing burnout and high turnover.

“So happy we got this accomplished for all of our hard-working bargaining members and now we have a chance to hire some new staff with our competitive wages and our individuals will get better care,” says Jamie Fugate, member of the Alvord-Taylor Bargaining Team. “We still have work to do changing morale and having a peaceful work environment. I enjoyed working with the Bargaining Team and learning so much about the bargaining process.”
