Our 2024 Homecare Local Representative Election is Being Re-Run

Dear Member,
As you may already know, the 2024 Homecare Local Representative Election is being re-run. In the final days of the initial election, the vendor the Union used for the electronic election had serious errors in their web voting portal which prevented members from being able to vote and requested personal data that should not have been required to vote.
We are furious that the error by the vendor made voting inaccessible to members. Our members deserve better. Because of these errors by the previous vendor, the Elections Committee ordered a re-run of the election before any results were reported because the issues with the vendor prevented members from voting. Voting for your sublocal representatives is extremely important to members and is why we want to make sure each of you has the chance to cast your ballot.
That brings us to the ballot in your mail today. This election is being run by a different vendor we have worked with for more than a decade to produce mail ballots and most recently to support the 2022 special election of additional board members. We know that they can complete this election in a timely and secure manner. Regardless of whether you previously voted in the electronic election, you must vote in this rerun election for your vote to be counted.
