University administrators don’t seem to get it. Classified workers are struggling to make ends meet. Runaway gas prices are wreaking havoc on our budgets when most of us can’t even afford to live in the communities where we work. Many of us have trouble putting food on the table since inflation is stretching our paychecks thin.

Meanwhile, we’re expected to serve students who rely on us to feed them, keep their campuses safe, and to do the important work that supports academic research and learning. We’re proud to do this work, and that’s why we’re fighting to make our jobs sustainable.
