Avamere workers have been standing strong to tell management we won’t settle a contract with takeaways. When they pushed for takeaways we pushed back…and we won!

Here are just a few highlights:

  • Raises: $0.80 per hour retroactive to October 1, 2017. The raise and back pay will be on our checks once we get the agreement ratified (voted on) in all 19 SEIU Avamere facilities.
  • Bonuses for Extra Shifts: Maintained our current $6.50 for volunteer and $5.00 for mandate extra shifts without paying for it out of our raises.
  • Hours and Overtime: bonus pay can now be offered earlier than the last 7 days before the shift. Wins in the process of mandation – 2 hours minimum notice to workers and no mandation when you’re already there as a volunteer.
  • Healthcare: Maintained our premium share at the same percentages as we’ve been paying.
