Wildfire Assistance Fund

When our members are impacted by disaster, we show up for each other.

The SEIU Local 503 Executive Board has recently approved a Wildfire Assistance Fund to provide financial assistance to members experiencing hardship caused by the current Oregon 2026 wildfires.

If you have been affected by the wildfires this season—through evacuation, property damage, lost income, or other wildfire-related hardships—we encourage you to apply for assistance.

Eligibility

Current SEIU Local 503 members experiencing financial hardship related to the Oregon wildfire that is listed on the Oregon Emergency Management (OEM) website of on-going/active fires and their zip code is under a level 2 or 3 evacuation order are eligible to apply. You may be eligible for up to $250 in cash assistance from your union. Applications must be submitted within 30 days of the qualifying evacuation level.

Examples of eligible hardships include:

  • Evacuation or temporary displacement
  • Damage to your home or personal property
  • Other wildfire-related financial hardships

Once applications are received, they will be reviewed as quickly as possible, and we may contact you if additional information is needed.

No one should have to face hardship alone. This fund is one way we put our union values into action by supporting members when they need it most.

If you have questions, please contact the Member Assistance Center at 1-844-503-7348.
