SEIU members receive a FREE $2,500 Member Life Insurance benefit. In addition, new members may purchase voluntary insurance products with guaranteed coverage within 90 days of joining.
Available Coverage Options
- Up to $100,000 Member Term Life Insurance
- Member Short-Term Disability Insurance
- Up to $40,000 Spouse/Partner Term Life Insurance
- $5,000 or $10,000 Child Term Life Insurance
- DUO Accident Insurance
Additional Coverage Opportunities
Members and their spouse/partner may apply for up to $200,000 in Term Life Insurance by providing satisfactory Evidence of Insurability.
Important Eligibility Requirements:
- The member must be insured in voluntary life to enroll a spouse/partner or child in life insurance coverage.
- Members must work at least 40 hours per month in a SEIU Local 503-represented position to enroll in any USAble Life products.
Annual Open Enrollment
Members may also purchase additional life, short-term disability, and accident insurance during the annual open enrollment period.
