Grandhe, Ram – DAS: Candidate for Assistant Director
I am honored to be a candidate for this position and would appreciate your support!
As an active SEIU Local 503 member, I have served on the Operations Committee and have participated in union meetings, trainings, and member engagement activities. I believe in listening to members, working collaboratively, and representing every member with fairness, respect, and transparency. Professionally, I bring many years of leadership, quality assurance, and project management experience in Oregon state government. These skills have helped me build strong relationships, solve problems, and work effectively with diverse teams.
If elected, my priorities will be to strengthen member engagement, improve communication, support fair contracts and safe workplaces, and encourage more members to become involved in our union. One of the biggest challenges our union faces is keeping members engaged and united while addressing changing workplace issues. I believe we can meet this challenge by listening to members, communicating openly, and working together to find practical solutions that benefit everyone.
Outside of the union, I volunteer with professional and community organizations, including the Pacific Northwest Software Quality Conference (PNSQC) and my local homeowners association, where I have gained valuable leadership and collaboration experience.
I am committed to serving our members with integrity, accountability, and respect. I would be grateful for your vote and the opportunity to represent you.
Thank you for your support!
