Hawk-Vera, April – Oregon State Hospital: Candidate for Statewide Treasurer

Hello,
My name is April Hawk-Vera. I am running for the Statewide Treasurer. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences with minors in Criminal Justice and Sociology. I am currently a SEIU Steward at the Oregon State Hospital and have been a member since 2013. I hope to help the budget and share efficient ways to serve our individuals. My goal is to help programs that are in a budget crisis and explain the costs. At my work location we seem to have that issue and I want to look to solve expenses throughout the hospital system. My hobbies include being a SEIU 503 Steward, volunteering at my children's school, donating to Red Cross, spending time with my family/pets and using my counseling certifications for the board of Oregon to help people throughout the community.
