Kelly, Carol – State APD: Candidate for Assistant Director

My name is Carol Kelly and I am running for Assistant Director Homecare. I have been engaged in Homecare, Personal Support work and have experience in Enhanced Care. I have been employed since 2014. I have had leadership positions which includes President AFRAM Caucus, Homecare Director District 1, Board of Directors Region 6, Delegate for General Council and General Council Committee. I served on the Executive Committee Team and Financial Committee. I've gainfully served on the Bargaining Team and collectively won several bargaining requests for our Union and for members including more paid Holidays, increased hour caps, and increased pay and more. Being apart of multiple committees, teams, and certification in SEIU 503 MLDP Program, Member Leader Development Program. I feel that it is important to fight for members at this level of office. My plan is to adopt and assist wherever aid is needed to ensure motions made by the Board are completely carried out in the absence of a Director. One of the biggest issues faced during my term will be helping to keep balance and fairness while sharing my input on the rights of members including equity and inclusion issues. I am asking for your vote in helping me to be able to achieve these goals to help provide hope for a more perfect Union and in Unity.
