For more than 24 years, I've proudly worked at a SEIU 503-represented nonprofit. I started as an entry-level shipping clerk and, through the opportunities created by strong collective bargaining agreements and a commitment to continuous learning, advanced to become a Senior Financial Analyst at Education Northwest. I oversee complex budgets, financial forecasting, grant management, contract development, and long-term financial planning. Throughout my career, I've built a reputation for accountability, transparency, and responsible stewardship of organizational resources. I'm a product of what a strong union can make possible, and that experience, combined with my professional financial background, has prepared me to serve as Treasurer of SEIU 503.
Every dollar our members contribute represents hard-earned money and deserves careful stewardship. Our members deserve a Treasurer who provides independent oversight, asks difficult questions, communicates openly about our union's financial health, and has the experience to lead effectively from day one.
During my time as Treasurer, we've made meaningful progress. I've strengthened oversight of our investments, audits, and financial procedures to ensure every dues dollar is managed responsibly. I provide independent Treasurer's reports to the Board that explain our finances in clear, understandable language rather than simply repeating numbers. Most importantly, I launched SEIU 503's first member-focused financial town halls, making our finances more transparent and accessible. Members should understand not only where their dues are invested, but how those investments strengthen our union and build worker power.
Transparency isn't just about publishing reports. It's about building trust through open communication, honest answers, and financial information every member can understand. That has been my focus from day one and will continue to be my priority.
As your Treasurer, I will continue strengthening our union's financial foundation through careful oversight, responsible investments, and clear communication. I'll also expand opportunities for members to engage through town halls, roundtable discussions, presentations, and accessible financial reports. My goal has never been simply to report the numbers, but to help every member understand what they mean and how they strengthen our union.
I'm proud to run with a powerhouse team including Johnny, Melissa, Renae, Chelsea and Cristal for SEIU, a team ready to deliver for our members on day 1! I would be honored to earn your vote and continue serving as your Statewide Treasurer.
