Election Information Overview – 2026 Statewide Officers (SWO) and Board of Directors (BOD) Election
Union officers (including Statewide Officers and Board of Directors) are covered by the Labor Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (LMRDA) – a Federal Labor Law that sets guidelines for the conduct of officer elections. These elections must also conform to procedures and rules set out in SEIU Local 503, OPEU governing documents. Please make yourself familiar with those procedures and rules (see Bylaws, Article XV — Elections) as well as the information in this packet.

Should you disagree with the response(s) you receive, you may respond appealing to the Chair of the Elections Committee who will coordinate with the Elections Committee as needed. The Board approved committee includes Kathie Best, Maureen Falkenhayn, John Leppink, Catherine Stearns, Alice Redding, and Guillermo Romero, along with staff advisors.
